Overseas Trips
Grateful thanks are extended to Jules Field who was previously in charge of Windsurfing events. The overseas trips were his brain child. We undertake to try and do at least one overseas trip annually.
Mauritius was the venue for the last three annual trips. Previously windsurfing trips were also made to the Red Sea in Egypt and Mozambique. These trips are made occasionally under the banner of "soul sailing."
On these trips, an initiation process for newbies is decided upon by a council of grand masters. This could be anything that would be amysing to everyone involved and could include things like sailing with a fin too small for the board causing spin-out etc.
