Welcome to The Home Of Catamaran Sailing
The Catamaran Club (TCC) is located on Bronkhorstspruit Dam only 15 km outside of the town Bronkhorstspruit in Gauteng. The club is a non-profit wind sport club who's members mainly sail catamaran's such as Hobie 14's , H16's, H17's, H18's, Hobie Tigers, Dart 18s, Halcats, windsurfers and more! Founded in 1974, the Club has gone through many growths and expansions. Currently the membership is around 180 members.
TCC, is without doubt, the place to be for competitive sailing. Throughout the year TCC hosts many regattas supporting the Hobie, Dart, and Halcat classes. Club regattas are held every month and sailing activities encourage new sailors to learn and have fun!
Special emphasis is given to junior sailing, culminating in an annual kid's sailing camp. The "Robert Bonarius Junior Development Foundation" has been established which promotes and grows junior sailing at TCC.
The windsurfers have established their own launching pad alongside the foreshore and find that with the prevailing winds and clean water TCC is a marvelous spot to enjoy their sport.
The Catamaran Club is set just far away from the city life, yet close enough for a quick getaway to relax on the weekend. The Club is well equipped with a beautiful Clubhouse to call home - fully stocked pub, billiards, table tennis and a catering facility for up to 150 people. Also there for the member's enjoyment are electricity and water-equipped caravan sites, a swimming pool, children's playground, volleyball net, a large ablution block, a thatch roof Boma facility right by the water and much more!
The Club runs events throughout the year, including our monthly Club regattas, which also provide novices the opportunity to learn from the Club pros! TCC is a family club focusing on the youth and youth development.
